Duckhorn Vineyards

Three Palms Vineyard Merlot 2014

2017 Wine Spectator #1 wine of the year.

Hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). A majestic dark crimson color. On the nose: beautiful notes of cherry, vanilla Graham crackers, floral, mint. Taste: smooth, creamy, balanced wine with a little dark plum, dark chocolate, graphite, pepper, and a medium dry oaky tar finish. YUM! unfortunately my last bottle, though I would drink em if you got em, seems to be at the end of its peak.

Good notes @Tom Garland @Brenda Terzich-Garland I have 3 3000ml bottles. I’m hoping they are still babies at that size!

@Rob Brobst III You should be good with the larger size. Even if 750s on the decline they still have some good drinking years left. Cheers!

Solid cab. Opened and drank slowly over 3.5 hours. Bouquet of fruit aromas upon opening that were well integrated and not overwhelming at first sip. — a month ago

2007 | Pinot Noir
Goldeneye; Estate
Mendocino Coast / Anderson Valley; Philo, CA, USA
(91-93; Drink 2017-27, 2H decant)

Nose has perfectly dehydrated strawberry+raspberry, crushed ripe black cherry, bittersweet chocolate chips and moist forest aromas.

Palate has strawberry jam, dried raspberry, earthy tones and dark chocolate with a long finish, excluding tannins.

In a perfect spot for loving a perfectly aged Anderson Valley PN...

Paired to pork tenderloin medallions in a Maitake/Sage/Madeira sauce.

2009 vintage is tasting great. Very complex yet smooth as silk. Plum, dark chocolate, cigar and slight spice at end — a month ago

Migration (Duckhorn Vineyards)

Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2020

Aged in 40% new French oak, medium Ruby color with slight purple edges, with aromas of dark berry fruits, cedar and spicy forest floor notes. On the palate flavors of boysenberry, blackberry, and crushed red cherries with notes of cedar and baking spice, lively acidity, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and earthy notes. Drinking well! Pair this with a pork roast. — 3 months ago
