Usually not a fan of PG unless it comes from a Grand Cru vineyard in Alsace… or from Südtirol.
Light pale in colour, very fresh on the nose, crisp & very clear. Like mountain air in the morning. Some light pear, white pepper, a touch of dried herbs, a whiff tangerine peel. But also some rocky mineral notes.
Beautifully balanced on the palate, clean & cool & very fresh. Crunchy pears again. This one has with nice rounded mouthfeel underlined by rocky, cool minerality.
Brilliant for sipping but also serious enough for proper food. Yum!

My ‘ house’ wine shared w friends & paired with baked Cod & Roquefort sauce, roasted vegetables, & barley. Pretty in color & on the palate: rusted rose hips, some distant forest floor.
