Bodega Garzon

Reserva Marselan 2020

v20. Very good, totally over delivers. Soft, yet fully smoked meat nose. Fresh, rich, dark black fruit medley. Bright, smooth, long, slightly astringent finish. Treasure. Great charcuterie wine. — 5 days ago

Reserva Albariño 2021

For an albarino, i found this to be a nice balance with a softness without having that harshness i find with most Albarino’s. not a great value but a nice wine i would drink again. — 2 months ago

Alto de la Ballena

Maldonado Tannat Blend 2018

Not a fan of merlots but the blend was really good. I'd have this again. I was not expecting the flavor. Had this with tapas. — 2 months ago

Bodega Garzon

Single Vineyard Albariño 2022

Otro vino que delectable no tiene, este reserva albariño estuvo en los 100 de WS #52 con 90 pts. No tiene nada de barrica, fresco y muy bien hecho. De seguro mejor que muchos gallegos... — 4 months ago

Bodega Garzon

Reserva Maldonado Tannat 2021

Inky in color with a short reddish rim.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with mild complexity.

Showing black fruits with wood, earth, light herbs, chocolates, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.

Medium finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a nice and interesting tannant from Uruguay. Smoky, spicy, and feels like a Californian Syrah.

Needs a couple of hours to open up properly.

Good by itself or with food.

14% alcohol by volume.

$20.

Pisano

RPF Reserva Personal de la Familia Progreso Tannat 2021

Dark blackish purple. Inviting nose of blueberry compote and overripe blackberry. Full bodied palate confirms the nose adding tarry oak in the back palate and finish. All supported by juicy medium plus acidity and wrapped in firm but velvety tannins. Finish is long and continues the palate. A polished Tannat that shows why it's the signature variety of Uruguay where it fits the country's beef culture like a dark tannic glove. Drink now through 2031. — 4 months ago
