They make a good Cabernet Franc that requires 7-10 plus yrs in cellar before opening.
The most agitating part of drinking their new vintages young is they use too much new wood. Along with the M+ tannin profile, making it very hard to drink early. Young, they drink astringently and bitty on the palate.
They poured me a 2011 Cabernet at the very end, not the best vintage but it was fine, the 11 was made with 20% less new oak. It showed and was preferable. If I were making these wines, I would dial back the new oak and or barrel toast. — 4 months ago
Awesome. Leather, mineral. — 5 months ago
Absolutely smoking hot tonight. Competed with the Mica and Modus Sage Ridge. Coravin’d and presented so well. Soft and pure palate. Blueberry pie nose. Medium tannins with a broad shouldered structure. Nice balance with excellent weight and texture. Bright acidity and sweetness finished off what I considered to be the best vintage I’ve tasted from Sinegal — 8 months ago

2011 vintage. Difficult vintage for Napa and environs to be sure. Usual mountain suspects seemed to fare better than valley floor stuff. All that said, more than a few properties re-releasing 2011's out into the wild and they are, generally, drinking very well. Not improving but reaching the top of their respective bell curves. This is one such story. No baby fat left. Serious mineral/earth influences throughout. The nose takes this into hello! territory. The finish signs the deed to the property. Hit this in the next 3-4 years for maximum enjoyment. 02.26.25. — 9 months ago

Resolved tannins, and well balanced. However the fruit was just too over the top for me. Think blackberry shake. — 4 months ago

As a nod to Karen (who some will remembered worked at Louis M. Martini decades ago—and is the nicest and best person to ever work in the wine industry) we opened this for my birthday. Paired it with a Tri Tip. It was a nice pairing. Good cab. It was better a couple years ago but still nice to drink for a special occasion. — 7 months ago

Long a favorite, perfect balance. Black currant / black cherry on the palate. Over 5 years old with smoothed Tannins, but enough presence for further aging. August 2025. — 4 months ago

This was rich and delicious especially with a tasty steak kabob. — 6 months ago

Sadly let this sit too long. Overly aged but not terrible. Definitely reason notes and fuller body. Would be interested to try again and drink younger… — 10 months ago
