Cain Concept The Benchland Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2004

Nicely integrated tannins, the palate noticeably opening up in the first 15 minutes. Nice nose, with fairly high alcohol level masking the palate somewhat. A bit of cassis and pepper in the aftertaste. — 2 months ago

Cain Five Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2011

A Burgundian-styled Cab Sauv from the one of the most compelling Sub AVA of Napa mountains (Mayacamas) which has an amazing soil and solid influence from the Pacific. Crafted with an amazing balance of 68% Cab Sauv, 20% Merlot, 5% and the rest to round it off its structure and age ability. The 2011 is still climbing to its peak. Enticing notes of dry red fruits on the nose and mouth, delicate, outstandingly silky and nearly perfect balance!
The finish shows its beauty. (if you find it, it won’t disappoint you) it will give the run for the money.

Lantieri De Paratico

Brut Franciacorta Chardonnay Blend

Franciacorta Cuvèe Brut D.O.C.G. an aromatic brut with yeast attributes. Lovely, tasty and with a twist.
Grapes: Chardonnay 80% - Pinot Bianco 10% - Pinot Nero 10%
Vinification: Soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation in steel vats and in small oak barrels at a controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine is kept in contact with the yeasts through a batonage operation. The Franciacorta is then prepared for the tirage with which the refermentation in the bottle begins and the refinement on the yeasts for an average of 24 months.

Permanence in the bottle in contact with the yeasts: At least 24 months.

Sugars: 5.5 g/l

Cuvée Aux Petites Noix Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2016

The 2016 “Cuvèe Aux Petites Noix” pours a very pretty ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe red fruits: raspberries, strawberries, cherry, and some warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A lovely wine showing well in its early drinking window. To my palate, better after 2031 and through 2041. — 4 months ago
