20 years old, and still wonderful. A very well-made wine. — 5 years ago
17•+ remarkably young colour. Good nose, though not v complex. Same on palate - v good fruit, elegant but not as interesting as I’d expected. Maybe decant next bottle. — 6 years ago

Opened a few hours prior to service and enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 1996 Asili, Riserva pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with lovely notes of Morello cherry, red flowers, some tar, leather, a touch of truffle, dry gravelly earth and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. A great pairing with controfiletto di wagyu. Plenty of life left in this. Drink now through 2041. — 8 months ago
17 Very Meursault, not outstanding. Vintage? — a year ago
Not a 1er Cru, but it should be! Lovely Vosne. Velvet, sappy cherry fruit with Vosne spice. Hints of vanilla and stones. A whiff of oak char on the nose, but less so on the palate. Decanted for 2 hours prior to consumption. — 5 years ago
