Very bright and crisp. Limestone and lemon. Some slatiness and great focus. Good length. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Great vintage. Beautiful color, bright, acidic high toned fruit. — 8 years ago
Can't believe I've held on to this treasure for so long! Cedar and sandalwood on the nose. Silky with a bright and savory--almost vegetal--finish. Perfect with filet and steak-house style garlicky creamed spinach. These grapes were picked when I was still in high school! — 9 years ago
Just opened a 1995 and it is bright and delicious - amazing wine — 9 years ago
Love it. Light and airy, with bright fruit and acid, not unlike a Cru Beaujolais. Doing the Jura proud, to be sure. — 10 years ago
Knockout California Pinot. Yeah, the high alcohol is there, but the rest of it is stupidly well crafted - concentrated fruit, baking spice, violets, and forest notes on the nose, an acidic zip gives way to dark cherries, floral notes, and a lingering tannic finish. Fairly bright for its age and drinking super well. Wish this thing was a magnum. — 11 years ago
This is the Pinot noir, but new to this app and don't know how to change. Any suggestions? Nice bright acidity to this wine by the way — 12 years ago

Excellent bottle. The 01 is supposedly a better vintage but im not sure when it comes to this producer. Clear, day bright, garnet and orange brick like color, medium - concentration, orange/peach rim variation, slight sediment, low viscosity. Nose: sound, moderate intensity, stewed cherries/strawberries/raspberries, floral, spicy and lots of dill pickle and slight game. A mushroom note as well. Palate: dry, med- body, stewed plums over ripe cherries/strawberries, lilies, dill, vinegar, leather, button mushrooms, game, mulch with some cedar and coconut. Very complex. Med- tannins, medium alcohol, high acid, long finish. Between the 01 and the 98 its a tough choice of which one to put in the wine cooler to store. — 12 years ago
Decanted for around an hour, the recently released 2013 Grand Vin from Chateau Musar is an enormous wine at present in its youth. Gradually, it opened into a gorgeous, exotic and utterly unique product of this unlikely corner of the wine world. There’s plenty of Bordeaux-like character in the form of dark fruit and cigar box, but there are notes too of cranberry, liquorice, clove, mandarin and five spice. The mouthfeel, as a whole, has a quasi Brunello quality to it, with its bright cherry fruit and mouthwatering acidity. But woe is anyone to compare this wine to any other, for it is incomparable. One of Serge Hochar’s last vintages before his passing in 2014, and one that will doubtless have a long life. — 5 years ago
Dark ruby, bright, doesn’t look it’s age. Awesome funky old Cal Cab nose. Notes of cherry, cranberry sauce, dirt and some balsa wood. Some steminess. Great perfume. Nice in the mouth but missing just a little bit in the mid palate. Really enjoyed this. — 8 years ago
Perfumed. Medium bodied. Cherry, raspberry. Bright acidity. — 8 years ago
Just beginning to show edges of secondary, still young & structured. Savory, briar, leaf. Begging for food! — 9 years ago
