Deep burnt orange in color with a lighter orange cream mousse and tiny bubbles. Wonderful nose of dried apricots and honeysuckle. This is echoed on the rich (of course) palate. Lowish (medium minus) acidity — it’s Vidal after all — offset by the tingle of the bubbles. Stone fruity moderate finish. Hard to dislike any icewine, even if it’s Vidal, and the bubbles add a surprising element of fun to this one. A nice celebratory dessert wine to drink with your birthday cake or New Year’s pudding. Will likely lose some bubbles after a decade, but should satisfy through 2039 and beyond. — 2 years ago
Extremely sweet. Strong taste of honey. I actually really liked it despite its off putting color and strong syrupy taste. — a month ago
Perhaps the best sweet American wine I have tasted. Sublime apricot aroma. $24 at Charlottesville Costco. — 9 months ago
Vintage 2016 | Magnum | Still tannins to my surprise. Needs aeration. Minerals, flint, red fruit. Solid taste. Paired with duck and roasted beetroot. — 2 months ago

Very strong sake, plum, lychee aroma. Guava and lychee flavor, full bodied the entire time, extremely sweet. Hints of agave in the aftertaste. This has been my favorite wine of the semester but it’s probably just the sugar, sorry Stoler have fun in Hawaii — a month ago
