Clear, deep ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of dried figs, cedar, and cherries; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of strawberry sauce, sweet tobacco, tar, and wet gravel with a long finish. This wine is intense and complex. I think it will open up more with time in the glass or more time in the bottle. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 12 hours ago

Thought this was a really unique Rioja. Deep Rick ruby with a smokey burnt caramel aroma. On the bud, stewed dark cherries, pepper, and pomegranate that is smooth and a long finish. Nice tannins in the mouth. Great price for a gran reserva from a famous Rioja winery. — 3 years ago
