If you are ever unconvinced that Slovakia doesn’t make good wine you need to try is wine from Stekov. Fred 8 Is light bodied wine but finds that balance between complex and easy drinking. I saw another reviewer said Brett on the nose and totally agree it’s a little bit barley wine co- fermented but still super ripe. Would be so good with cold charcuterie or grilled chicken. — 4 years ago
For the price, this is an excellent wine. Subtle hint of tannins, mellow fruitiness, and nice and dry. Excellent with Thai style pork skewers. — 5 years ago
Sparkling wine, feeling so fine. This was so lovely. The grapefruit notes made it very memorable. — 5 years ago
Dark ruby with some purple.
Dark fruit aromas
Surprising body for a German Pinot.

Another solid vintage of Ziereisen’s Entry Level Baden Spatburgunder. Dark garnet color with a ruby core. Fragrant aromas of red cherry/berry fruit, forest floor and a hint of smoke. Flavors of sour cherry, unripe strawberry and pomegranate fruit with additional hints of dried herbs, savory spices and minerals. Long lasting earthy finish and extremely smooth tannins. Medium bodied with a very smooth texture and a bit of tension. Rustic but quite elegant at the same time. Excellent quality for a reasonable price. — 11 days ago
