Holy crap!!!! Cab Franc @ Napa — 6 years ago
some #wine grumps declare that you should NEVER 🚫 pair red wine 🍷 with chocolate dessert, but I can attest that there were exactly zero scowls when we matched the smooth, plum-blueberry-cocoa '15 Syrah from local (Sta. Rita Hills) #Melville #Winery with the deeply flavorful chocolate gateau at #Blackbird restaurant in #SantaBarbara — 7 years ago
Cherry, strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, slate and lime zest. Great acidity and balance. — 7 years ago
New world merlot wrapped up tight in a Right Bank corset. What a stunning wine! Either needs a few more years in the bottle, or at least two hours in a decanter. Either way...elegant fruit, dusty dark chocolate, a breath of licorice and herbs, and a warm woody finish. — 9 years ago

Great with brisket! — 7 years ago
From makers of Blackbird. 2015. Big and fruit forward, more dry less juicy, still nice and round. Not as heavy as you’d expect. — 7 years ago
Dark purple core reaching all the way to the rim. A dazzling array of ripe fruit fly out of the glass; blueberry, black plum and bring cherry with hints of mint and espresso. The mouth is full and rich, weighty with the texture of glycerine. The tannins are grippy with black tea like bite. There is an endless chorus of ripe, juicy fruit and a finish that never fades. Can't wait to try this in 10 years! — 7 years ago

Delicious big bodied red with great depth when it breathes. Big but not overpowering with lots of bright fresh fruit. Would love to pour as an everyday. $62 at Blackbird in Bozeman. — 4 years ago
