Glad I got a case. Excellent — 7 years ago
Merlot fronted Bordeaux blend from Santa Ynez (43% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon). Much better with time to breath. Mixed berry fruit, tobacco, and subtle black licorice. Acidity stands firms and outshines tannins on the palate. Super fresh and juicy forest fruits pervade. Think pasta or grilled chicken pairing. Cool label artwork too! — 7 years ago

A bit over the edge...won’t say pass by the hours of glory are behind. Still good acidity but short mouth fell. — 7 years ago
To be honest, if this was placed in a blind-tasting, I can see it being mistaken for a Burgundy. The nose is a savory herb garden intermingling with crushed violets, peppered with spice and cedar. Soft and lithe on the entry with a focused arrow of acidity on the backend, Hyland glides onto the palate with fresh cranberries, orange peel, and pomegranates and finishes in fresh mushrooms and peppercorn. The tannins unfold from powdery into a sexy swash. Pretty and cellar-worthy. — 8 years ago
Abbott claim. Pretty darn good. Very balanced. Great acidity, fruit and slight earthiness. Just good drinking — 6 years ago
