Now this is what I’m talking about! Best of this Bouchard haul. I wonder how much vintage played a role. Dense and intense, yet so chiselled. Aromas of pears, peaches, brioche, white flowers, spices, and even a touch of jackfruit were just bursting out of the glass. Super dense, precise, and long on the palate. Has a really interesting plummy mid-palate note, and lovely salinity. Loved it! — 2 months ago

A rose champagne to cap off a great bday celebration. Crisp and clean with beautiful acid and some weighted berry tang — 3 months ago
I opened the 2021 Failla Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is cherry, strawberry, cranberry, truffles, violets and earth.
On the palate there is bing cherry, strawberry, cranberry, vanilla, cinnamon, spice and light earth.
This wine is medium bodied with a smooth velvety mouthfeel medium to medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine supple tannins that moves into a long red fruit spicy finish. Enjoy the weekend and stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 6 months ago

I don’t get to try this ultra premium segment of Burgundy much so it is a treat to have this. This displays ripe aromas of berries, rose petal, leafs and wine gum pastille. It is medium bodied. On the palate you get more berries, citrus fruits, vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is fresh and dry with district fine tannins. — 3 months ago
Very smooth and delectable! — 3 months ago
Very fine mousse but it disappears really quickly.
Strawberries and cream on the nose very vividly. Sweet whipped cream is almost turning into condensed milk. Raspberry, very ripe peach, coissant woth strawberry jam. All sorts of strawberry associations really :)
On the palette mousse slowly fills the mouth, pretty dry on the finish. Brioche, pear, red apple, confiture.

Sublime. One of the most delicious wines I’ve had in years. Silky and perfumed, earthy and fruity; California power melded with Old World sophistication. Enjoyed the 2007 vintage with my wife Dreama at kaiseki temple Hayato in LA, part of my ongoing days long birthday celebration. A privilege and a pleasure. — 2 months ago
Medium Ruby with aromas red fruits, black tea and ample floral spice, aged in 20% new French oak for about 10 months. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with notes of tobacco, cedar, black pepper, tea and vanilla spice. Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with fruit, herb, spice and wet stone character. Very Nice! Aging well! — 2 months ago

To celebrate my 9,000 reviews on vivino, here is a beautiful Pinot Noir.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong fruity nose with bing cherries, raspberries, sweet strawberries, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, earth and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blueberries, black cherries, light earth, herbs, spices, vanilla, cedar, black pepper, light cola, dark coffee and licorice. black pepper.
Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Pinot Noir from Burgundy is already drinking very nicely, but still extremely young. Well balanced and smooth with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
I had it blind right out of the bottle. That was a nice surprise. I called 2018 Burgundy Pinot Noir, but I did not see this kind of bottle coming... What a great experience to blind taste such an iconic wine.
There is always an aura when drinking these kind of wines, but drinking them blind, gives you a perspective that might be missed otherwise.
Needed 2 hours in the decanter to open up properly, and bring more complexity. Much better once it opens up.
Robert Parker 94 points.
I had an older vintage of this wine a year ago, and it is such a different wine. Will continue to age nicely in the next 30 to 40 years.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

From magnum, the 1996 Grande Année pours a brilliant pale gold color with a persistent mousse. Initially, the wine showed more oxidative notes but it freshened up considerably with air (in fact, a tiny amount was leftover for the next morning and it remained brilliant, racy even!). On the nose, notes of almond, citrus, honey, chalky minerals and brioche. On the palate, wine is developing with absolutely brilliant acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and zippy. The 1996 vintage is simply amazing. Here we are, 28 years past vintage and this bright and full of life! Granted, it’s a magnum, but still.
