At 17 years this wine is still deep, vibrant ruby in color with powerful aromas of black cherry, black olive, earth, leather and forest floor. Showing youth as well as age it is full and meaty and yet still agile on the palate. Velvet tannins give it a rich texture but there is no heaviness here. Stunning wine with a very long finish. — 5 months ago
Very nice way to finish a meal. Sweetness is in the background but it starts dry and fruity then turns very acidic - in a great way — 2 years ago

Fully mature. Fine, integrated tannins. Beautiful pure fruit profile with some acid, and tannin to give structure. Lots of tertiary - leather, forest floor, earth, umami, tobacco. Grip. Long. Right in the sweet spot. — 9 months ago

Excellent and extremely fruity — 8 months ago
High QPR! Goes well with many foods but especially any simple Italian fare. One of my go to Italian wines. It’s nice to go beyond Tuscany or Piedmonte. — 8 months ago
