Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2019

Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, herb spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry and plum with cacao, cedar, licorice and pepper spice. Fine tannins, still a little grippy, great balance, complex long finish ending with earthy herbs, fruit and oaky notes. Nice! — a day ago

2021 vintage. Super Tuscan-styled but $16 resto cost. Rocking for a sub-$25 effort. 2.8.24. — a month ago

Monteleccio Toscana IGT Sangiovese 2020

Time! Must give this wine time! It is so tight straight from the bottle that judging it then is unfair. After hours it opens into a beautiful Sangiovese: cherry, tobacco, and violets. — 24 days ago

Vigna del Suolo Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2018

Such a beautiful wine. Was very surprised at the softness and drinkability for being so young. — 3 months ago

Brunello di Montalcino 2015

Decided to break open this Brunello tonight, after having a 2015 Argiano last night. This one is super rich with dark cherry, chocolate, and spice aromas. On the bud, the cherry notes continue to come out with cedar/oak notes and subtle spice notes. It velvety smooth with mild tannins and a nice long finish. Great with our steak and kale salad. Looking forward to tasting it with our chocolates later. This one is by far the winner of the two wines. I still have 6 more bottles in the cellar and can’t wait to see how it continues to evolve. — 5 months ago

Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese 2021

Great wine but I did expect even more. Decanted for 3 hours. Still a little tight. Cherry and plum. Earthy (chalk/slate). Some violets. Just a hint of something more herbaceous like tobacco. Finishes shorter than it should. Tannins medium. — 16 days ago

Solengo Rosso Toscano SuperTuscan Blend 2021

A very nice supertuscan blend which definitely needs additional cellaring. Quite closed but revealing it’s quality, it all needs to come together — 2 months ago

Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese

No notes taken at dinner 2 nights ago. A better than average Rosso from a good producer. Savoury dried cherry with earthy notes. Made for food. Brilliant with Napoletana Pizza. Powdery fine tannins. — 4 months ago
