Time! Must give this wine time! It is so tight straight from the bottle that judging it then is unfair. After hours it opens into a beautiful Sangiovese: cherry, tobacco, and violets. — 5 days ago
Cherry and plum fruit notes carry it. Surrounded by herbal, brushy notes with licorice hitting the upper palate mid-profile. Before opening it had more tar and cedar; after a few hours herbal notes have strongly developed. Medium-plus to strong-minus sandy tannins. — 4 months ago
Decided to break open this Brunello tonight, after having a 2015 Argiano last night. This one is super rich with dark cherry, chocolate, and spice aromas. On the bud, the cherry notes continue to come out with cedar/oak notes and subtle spice notes. It velvety smooth with mild tannins and a nice long finish. Great with our steak and kale salad. Looking forward to tasting it with our chocolates later. This one is by far the winner of the two wines. I still have 6 more bottles in the cellar and can’t wait to see how it continues to evolve. — 5 months ago

2019 vintage. Tight but youthful and full of promise. Could use a 2hr decant or a 10-spot in a dark corner. 3.20.24. — 8 days ago
