Old school rustic Italian, quite dark fruited, salty. Medium body. Very tannic on the back end, very structured wine. Substantial acid. Needs a couple hours of air to come together and show properly. Pair with 🍝 for a pretty pretty good time. // turns into something special on day 2 — 6 years ago
Very pleasant, full body ice wine — 8 years ago
Earthy, great nose. — 6 years ago
Lovely higher-end release from a top-notch Alto-Adige producer. This one has more toasty notes thanks to lees aging, and some riper tropical fruit notes than the standard Weissburgunder. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Medium gold. Resin and honey on the nose and a touch of varnish, orange blossom, burnt sugar, caramel. A fantastic wine, perhaps too sweet to be completely bbalanced. #botrytis #austrianwine #trockenbeerenauslese — 6 years ago

2013 vintage. First time ever that I taste this wine. Wine was closed and showed little. High upfront minerality and pleasant acidity. Dropped a considerable amount of tannins. Backward fruit and quite a good burn. Need to get a vertical on this. — 7 years ago
Really was digging this. Rich but fresh all the same. — 7 years ago
More prep for my visit to Alto-Adige in a couple weeks and I’m hoping to stop into Ladeger. Fits my love for expressive aromatic whites. Fragrances of grapefruit and green resin with peaches, apricots, nectarines, and lychee. And always good texture. — 5 years ago
Lovely Weissburgunder from a solid biodynamic producer. Stone fruit, light mineral, edelweiss, lemon curd with a rounded edge. Hard to imagine a wine drinker who would not find this refreshing. Terrific QPR at $12-13 a bottle.
From the tech sheet:
Grapes are gently crushed and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks followed by maturation for approximately 4 months on the lees. — 6 years ago
Just lovely. — 7 years ago
This has been open for a week. Such an unbelievable wine. The sugar isn't over the top, the acid balances it. The flavors are out of this world. I usually don't write much but I couldn't let this one go. The finish is probably 2 minutes. If you can find this, please treat yourself! — 7 years ago
