Really strong Barolo from 2004. Nice red fruit on the nose and palate. Smooth but with a great acidity. Served with porterhouse, roasted mushrooms, and mashed potatoes. — 8 years ago
One of my favorite wine memories is the night I had dinner sitting next to Isole e Olena's Paolo De Marchi. We talked about his love for his family, his passion for winemaking and drank a lot of his incredible wine. I'm really enjoying this #ChiantiClassico tonight with Vento d'Estate cheese from @olssonsfinefoods #isoleeolena #paolodemarchi #Sangiovese @princetoncorkscrew #TuscanWine — 11 years ago

Very tannic and acidic even after a couple of hours of decanting. It needs several hours (about eight) in the decanter to calm down and open up. Earthy and smokey. Dried dark cherries, pomegranate, tar, cedar, leather, and spices. Powerful and dense. — 5 years ago
Creamy, tropical, banana. Elegant and balanced. Hangin’ with @francoconterno — 7 years ago
