Crisp, great fruit, good underlying acidity. Super refreshing and everything I want in a rosé — 7 years ago
An extra year in the cellar has been kind here. The full feral yet airy breadth of this wine arrives sooner in the decanter (90 minutes, maybe?) and is more of a piece than when this wine was younger. Fruit and savory, complexity and lightness. And a touch of peach. Fuck yeah. Thanks @Rowdy Food @Hardy Wallace ! — 8 years ago
Had the delicious privilege of introducing a dear friend to this wine. Changed his whole perspective on shit. "Wow...what is this again and where can I buy it?" @Hardy Wallace you've done it again. — 8 years ago
The bottle that got me into so called “natural wines”. Fresh and lively fruit and acidity, but enough structure to really pair with a wide range of dishes.
2011 was the last vintage grown by the late producer and where his wife and family had to take over the winemaking after his tragic passing.
Happy to share it with the person that introduced me to this wine 6yrs ago. — 6 years ago
Sow's ear -> silk purse. Lemons -> lemonade. Ashes -> Phoenix. Or something like that. Whatever the crappy input was, the output is juicy glou-glou American vin du soif by way of Beaujolais with a sidecar of natty Southwest France. I want this all the time. (Though not at the expense of declassing all the single vineyard fruit that's in here.) Even better when you're glamping in Baja. @Hardy Wallace — 7 years ago
Acid seemed to be more in play. I was prefer the edge and zip this carried across the palate than previous experience which emphasized a more vinous quality to it. Lovely transition. — 8 years ago
A glorious earthy cocoa dusting the most lively and impish fruit. Pineau't enough in a bottle. — 8 years ago
This is a difficult wine for me. One that I go back and forth on...do I really, really love it or do I just flat out need it? Today is the answer is I NEED it. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it's so damn delicious. After all, @Hardy Wallace did win the '93 Massachusetts Hula Hoop championship so it's pretty clear he can do anything he wants. — 8 years ago
Is Nathalie my favorite winemaker rn? Prolly so. South in here to unpack—cranberry, smoke, almost a bit of a beef stock at the very end — 7 years ago
A furry Alsatian in a hot tub. @Hardy Wallace — 8 years ago
Great tasting tonight. An excellent start with a fantastic bottle of bubbles. Lots of spice from the oak barrels during fermentation. Baking spice and citrus notes come thru nicely. Big finish of tangerine and baking spices. Very elegant. — 8 years ago
Dark purple in the glass, slightly clinging color. Full nose of baked plums and graphite (some Merlot in the mix?). Firm tannins introduce a palate of dark fruit, toasted pie crust, and graphite. Long dusty finish with tannins present throughout. A traditional, Old World Cahors, not to be confused with their more fruit forward Vin de France Malbec. Demands rich Mediterranean or similar cuisine. — 8 years ago
With everything but the kitchen sink going into this white wine, what you get is a surprise-- a bottle with its own character, even though no grape is predominating. Everything is together with nice acidity and depth. Good as an aperitif or as a food wine. Congrats to Hardy for pulling it off! — 9 years ago
Conrad Green

Gorgeously lush nose with lemon oil, spritzy fine acid and minerals aplenty. A delicious midpalate with floral notes and slate. Brilliant stuff. — 5 years ago
