Louis M. Martini

Monte Rosso Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

For more than 75 years, the Martini family winemakers have crafted wines from Sonoma and Napa counties. Michael Martini, 3rd generation carries on the tradition. 100% Cab, aged in French oak (75% new) for over 2 years. Deep Ruby, aromas of red/black fruit, complex spice with smoky notes. Flavors of blackberry and currants with an earthy character adding a array of spices. Fine tannins, opening nicely, long finish, ending with notes of fruit, cacao & tobacco. Still has room to age. — 4 years ago

Pierre Péters

Cuvée de Réserve Grand Cru Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne

Had this over a year ago, this is a new batch, a Fav! Rodolphe Péters took over the reins of this venerable estate in the southern Côte des Blancs in 2008, becoming the fourth generation to lead since the estate was founded in 1919, under the name Camille Péters. 100% Chardonnay, Crisp, fine mousse with steady flow of bubbles. Citrus, and biscuit aromas. Fresh fruit flavors of peach, apples and lemons, smooth and dry. Long mineral finish ending with elegance. Nice! — 5 years ago

Belle Glos

Las Alturas Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014

Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner is a 4th generation winemaker from a family with farming and winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby (darkest Pinot almost looks like a Cab) with aromas of ripe berries and spice notes. The palate shows rich black fruits, blackberries, plums and black cherries, vanilla spice, cedar and cacao. Rich soft tannins, firm acidity on lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Had the various Belle Glos vineyards from Clark & Telephone to Dairyman. This offering is our wine clubs' pick. So different as a Pinot - great effort !

Peter Lehmann

VSV 1885 Shiraz 2010

My note of 49 weeks ago tells the full story of this historic vineyard planted in 1885 and tended by 6th generation Ralph Schrapel. Part of the Peter Lehmann VSV (Very Special Vineyard) series. This wine is delicious old school Barossa with ripe plum, dark chocolate, cherry, liquorice and coffee grounds. A hint of prune on the nose. Great to be drinking these rich reds as the weather cools down. This vineyard is in the Ebenezer sub district of the Barossa. My last bottle sadly. — 4 years ago

I love this producer, especially Stonewall. Fave vintage was 94, of which I had a case. Never seen the label of the wine that you are tasting - enjoy 😊

Ron - the VSV series are small production. With this particular wine they only made 685 cases. Possibly none were exported.
