Very pungent meaty nose followed by forest floor, underbrush, lavender. Port like at the absolute plateau with a very long finish.

Powerful super fruity violet nose. Hints of leather and chocolate but that violet is overwhelming. In a good way. Mouthfeel is thick, full and round with a dry mid palate. Chocolate comes forward after a short while along with cassis. Solid finish.

Wow! Made by fifth generation custodian Stephen Henschke this iconic Australian wine, shows refined elegance, deep dark fruits and savory spice, fine integrated tannins.

Bouquet is light, some plum. Flavour is SO BALANCED. A rich combination of fruit, tannin and terroir. Not a lot of spice in the palate but can 'taste' the Barossa. Some mild aniseed but not over powering. Tannin structure is there but again is balanced across the palate. Fruit is what's left on the palate after the wine has passed.
