Vintage 2010 - After 7 y a cardinal red colour, laurel, cherries, eucalyptus and leather, smoooooooth taste from 75% merlot 25% cabernet franc. I love this wine, a Point for winelovers that like fruity wines, way too young for the ones who like their wine mature (like me). Rather rustic. #côtesdecastillon #merlot #loveit — 9 years ago
A very special wine. Much more complex than a normal SB in my opinion. got this bad boy in Costco for $25! :) — 10 years ago

Found cellar notes. Bought for $25 in 1990 in NY for New Years Eve dinner. Still memorable. — 9 years ago

I like this wine. It has good fruit, and is full-bodied. Some tannins, but not overpowering. Picked this up for around $16 at a local warehouse club. I think it normally retails for $20-$25. Excellent quality for the $16 price point. — 9 years ago
Enjoyed this one as well. Definitely more levels than 24. — 10 years ago
Good for a 25 year old cab. Defiantly will wait to release on newer vintages — 11 years ago
Not sure what the "experts" are talking about, because this vino nobile is off the hook. Incredible nose of camphor, menthol, and tart berries that emerged with more time in the glass, this is a textbook example of a vino nobile, which I have always viewed as a hypothetical hybrid between a chianti classico and a brunello di montalcino. A terrific wine that is just starting to emerge. Leave it for a couple of years, decant, and enjoy! — 11 years ago

For a luxury Napa blue chip, it's always a really solid wine. At least it doesn't take on that wet dog smell like so many of the others. Talkin' hyper-expensive ones too. — 12 years ago
Shannon brought. Loved!
Regular edition did not love. Kept awake. — 9 years ago
Extremely good for a 1990 with 25 years age! — 9 years ago
Proof that one does NOT have to spend a lot of money to acquire wines that will age gracefully into a beautifully mature wine 36 years of age. The usual pepper note is there that tells you are with a Cabernet Franc from #chinon, but the real beauty unfurls with the elegant spices of tobacco leaf and old leather, notes of forest floor, subtle mint, dried red currant and cassis fruits. Simply beautiful and I will now go buy a case of 2010 and say goodbye to it in storage for at least ten years. $20-25 retail for the recent vintages. #1979 #smashingpumpkins #raffault — 10 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Tasted ‘13 & ‘14 together. Wine bears the vineyard named to honor the Red-shouldered Hawks and other birds of prey that play a vital role in sustainable farming practices. Bright yellow with aromas of tropical fruits and sweet floral scents. Aged for 14 months, 75% in new French oak and 25% in stainless. On the palate sweet melon, pineapple and peach flavors and citrus notes, subtle yet complex and well balanced. Lingering finish, savory, ending with mineral tones and toasty oak. Consistent. Outstanding! — 8 years ago
