Good. Wants some air. Not as much concentration as I’ve been used to for a Beauj of this price point from Morgon, but the other thevenet wine we had was from morgon and was a lot lighter than anticipated so maybe it’s a winemaker style? Lots of raspberries and this interesting briar note on the end, the back end doesn’t have as much going on but… I did have the majority of the bottle without letting it air out a bit. Wife wants to do a side by side with their morgon to compare the stemmyness. Worth a check definitely, makes me want to try more regnie but also solidified my adoration for morgon. But the more this airs the better it gets. Will have to revisit. — 3 years ago
One of my favorites from La Paulée’s “low cost” Off the Grid tasting. Cru Beaujolais by Jean Paul Thevenet, one of the four members of the “Gang of Four”. Gamay from 70-100 years old vines. Aged for 6-8 months in old barrels. Perfumed nose, aromas of red fruit. Structured, serious wine. — 4 years ago

Amazing for a 2020 — 5 years ago
Oikein maukas, etenkin vähän lämpimämpänä. Herukkainen, vähän mausteinen, hiukan keltaluumuinen, myös raikasta sitruksisuutta ja hedelmäistä makeutta. — 5 years ago

Sour cherry pie and strawberry on the palate. A bit petroly on the nose with some wet newspaper. Super big acidity with medium to low tannins, it’s a light and crushable fruit bomb. — 3 years ago

Super Tuscan we had at dinner in Norwalk with Nia & Roth. Phil and I both liked it. — 3 years ago

Pleasantly balanced California chard: some that sweet blend of citrus, vanilla and oak on a harmony that sits well and dances on the palette. Great glass, great finish…buy this one in pairs! — 3 years ago

Very quaffable rose for a hot night. — 4 years ago
Dark garnet in color, nose of earth, wood and black plum. At first smooth with a touch of fruit but then very dry and tannic after a few seconds. Not too acidic- needs food to balance. — 5 years ago

Really enjoy this wine! Nice rich wine with smooth finish...GSM+Tempranillo. Pepper nose, fruits and flavor finish. — 9 years ago
