Huge wine with lots of stuffing — probably opened this prematurely. Great fruit underpinned by massive tannins at this stage. Budged a bit on day two.
Will let other bottles wait at least a few more years and crack some Perbacco instead. — 6 years ago
Opened up and presented better than I thought it would, but not the best brunello. Has it all but doesn’t use it well. — 8 years ago
On the purple side with slight rim variation. Chocolate, red fruits and vanilla on the nose. Cherries and developing minerality, smooth yet firm tannins, medium body; finish with ripe fruit and rustic Italian oak. Well balanced and a go-to classic chianti. Yum! — 9 years ago
Barolo ages so gracefully. 12 years and prime. Typically Barolo: tar, leather, dried roses. Long and rich. — 3 years ago
Opened quickly. Black fruits. Smooth finish — 6 years ago
Vday treat with a nose of raisins, prunes, old leather and dried tabacco. On the palate more dried fruit continues with lighter notes of violet that give way to earthly mushroom. Serious tannin grip add to the hefty mouthfeel. — 6 years ago
Nice flavor. Has a little spice. Didn't decant but will try for next time. Now to find a decanter🤔🤔🤔 — 8 years ago
