Founded 1972, Tom & Sally Jordan, from CO, went to CA’s wine country & produced inaugural vintage in 1976. A Fav of mine with a steak, and the ‘17 hits the mark! Blend of mostly Cab Sauv with Merlot, Petit Verdot & Malbec. Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruit, floral & spice. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and fig with oak, sweet spice, leather & cacao notes. Rich tannins, well balanced and integrated with fruit & oak. Very Nice! — 4 years ago

Zoom event with Drew Bledsoe and Josh McDaniels. Vertical from ‘07, ‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17, ‘17 estate, and ‘18. All were exceptionally smooth and silky with good depth of fruit. Notes on the ‘17: 87% CS, 7% Merlot, 6% petite Verdot. Tobacco and raspberry on the nose, blackberry, raspberry and oak on the plate with a long fruity finish. The least earthy of the bunch tonight. Blend of 83% Merlot; 12% Cab Sauv, and 5% Petit Verdot, aged 17 months in French oak (30% new), very deep Ruby with rich aromas of dark ripe fruit and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum with soft sweet vanilla spice, cacao and cedar. Fine tannins, long finish ending with balanced mineral wrapped in cacao and oak.
