Founded 1972, Tom & Sally Jordan, from CO, went to CA’s wine country & produced inaugural vintage in 1976. A Fav of mine with a steak, and the ‘17 hits the mark! Blend of mostly Cab Sauv with Merlot, Petit Verdot & Malbec. Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruit, floral & spice. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and fig with oak, sweet spice, leather & cacao notes. Rich tannins, well balanced and integrated with fruit & oak. Very Nice!

Aug 2nd, 2022Medium lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with honeysuckle notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear, lemon citrus zest and melon, complex, mineral tones with soft creamy oak and sweet spice. The wine was fresh, with vibrant crisp acidity, well balanced on a long finish ending with fruit and floral notes. Has some mid-term aging potential. Outstanding!

Dark fruit and silky lingering tannins that linger on the pallet. Really goes well with a big New York steak. Great to celebrate a Raiders victory!🏈🍷🍷🍷🍷

Very solid cab. Paired with my filet steak and I know from experience this wine is Murtaugh to my Gibson steak. Nice bouquet. It’s sweet but not too strong. The edges are a bit light on the swirl and it seems a tad thin in the glass on look but not on taste. Vanilla, smoke, cherry, forest, tar. Finish is above average. This is just a reliable workhorse that is a favorite at the steakhouse.
