Oops. This is one of those rare instances that I didn’t realize what I was opening and what I paid for it. This is not your average Monday night wine. As I was drinking it (semi blind) I was thinking this was darn good. One of the best CDP I’ve had in quite a while. Sexy and stunning without flaws. I wish I had more of this! — 6 years ago
This followed boudignon chenin blanc which was such a laser that the Miani initially felt quite plush by contrast. It settled in but ultimately is still a relatively big and powerful wine. I loved it, but it was a bit less detailed and impactful than the 2013 friulano buri I drank last year. Forgot to take a photo oops — 7 years ago
July 22, 2017. Found this in my cellar with a note to drink in 2015-16. Oops. Opened it thinking it might be past prime. But it was not! Moreover, I found a fabulous, medium-full bodied wine, deep garnet color, luscious red fruit on the nose. Best $13 bottle of wine I've ever had. Too bad there is no more. — 8 years ago
K so having a WSET 3 tasting club is making me burn through my supplies faster than usual. And burn through their supplies too. Oops for all of us. Now I've tried all of Kokomo's offerings in terms of Zin (although I wish I had been wealthy enough to crack them all open side by side) and I must say Pauline's vineyard=least fave. Rockpile was the best. Timber Crest was in the middle and...to be honest? The least pricy "Dry Creek Valley" is both really excellent and not as pricy as Rockpile Zin. My top two were probably both the least expensive (Dry Creek) and most pricy (Rockpile) so there ya go. Anyway I'm reviewing Rockpile here! Tis purple-ruby in color, on the nose black sweet cherries and chopped vanilla beans plus crushed blackberries. On the tongue: medium acid, low plus tannins, medium body, black cherries and blackberries and vanilla ice cream and the finish...it is medium in length and there is more of everything I mentioned you smell and taste and anyway... Taste both the more generic-in-name-only Dry Creek Valley Kokomo Zin (avail to all) and the Rockpile(I think only club members can get this). And my blind wine tasting club will have more samplings soon that I can't wait to share. — 9 years ago

Oops!! I drank it all! — 10 years ago
10 years of aging (oops lost in the cellar) has treated this 2011 surprisingly well it has lost the smoky notes I tasted a couple years ago and in its place is an earthier blackberry red currant which is quite pleasant. Still has a great silky mouth feel. I decanted this for 2 hrs, tasting every so often and I'm not 100% sure when it was drinking it's best.
Drinking 2011 in 2021. 8.9/3.9 — 5 years ago

Oops. Happy accident perhaps as this 2014 pinot opens up slightly petillant. Unfinished secondary ferment likely as no bretty notes. Delicious and on clearance at my Whole Foods. Exploding bottles maybe? I went back and bought all they had. — 7 years ago
Oops, it's gone. Nice mineral/citrus balance and just enough pleasing complexity... — 9 years ago
So this was an interesting accident. I bought this (quickly) on one of those flash sale sites and misread the 2002 vintage as 2012 (oops!). But I was pleasantly surprised. While certainly past its prime it was interesting to try a 14 year old Chardonnay and this one held up. It was slightly sweet but still rich and pretty damn good. Don't get me wrong, while I certainly wouldn't purposely age this so long (to me Kongsgaard chards are pretty close to a 10 in their first 5 years), it was fun to try for sure. — 9 years ago
Crisp white wine. Fun label! Notes of citrus. — 10 years ago
2014. Very good stuff. GREAT STRUCTURE, GOOD DENSITY OF DARK FRUIT, A LITTLE MEATINESS, DECENT FINISH. Oops. Didn't mean to shout. — 8 years ago
Wednesday night sweet pea and mushroom risotto oops. — 9 years ago
Couldn't quite wait the year I recommended earlier, oops. Wine had climbed 1/2way up the cork. Still lots of pepper on this one. Good wine. Could wait a little bit longer to open but still good now. — 10 years ago
Aravind A
Oops, forgot I had this in April. Drank alongside a '14 Roulot Bourg Blanc, and paired with a pasta with morel and scallion (light) cream sauce, with some seared scallops on top. This was far and away the better pairing, but it was fun to contrast the two '14s. With the cream sauce, the perceived acidity was perfect for my palate, so an excellent showing, really showcasing the minerality and citrus. Yeah it's Tuesday, but many pandemic-related restrictions were eased today here in cali. What that actually means remains to be seen... — 4 years ago
