Elysian Phaze Dust Imperial Hazy IPA
Golden to antique-gold base, loopy head of white reflecting said. Galactic nebulae suggesting horse heads in clover beds. Banana and pineapple lead the tropical bouquet with marigold and cherry side swipes. Orange, lemon, tangerine, lime and sticky nettle inundates. Lively mouthfeel marries the piney bits to the lemon and adds grapefruit in abundance, stinging the taste buds, and blinding them to the supernovae of lime and lemongrass and green mango to follow. There is cantaloupe bobbing like a rogue planet in the cosmic soup, and seed-bitter citrus background radiation, but the core of pineapple remains. Nice interstellar sojourn.

Hazy, rosy amber with large spongy cotton head. Desert scrub lacing and fallen branches covered in snow that sticks like pasta. Dank-y mosaics inform carrot-muffin iced with pineapple grapefruit and tangerine in abundance. Hemp-y notes persist on the palate, awash in tangerine and pomelo, dried basil and black lime. Sessionably fortified for easy drinking, but not so creamy as one would expect with the mosaic addition. Very good job keeping the balance.

Nubby, hoary, and frosty-frothy atop a pear jelly colored beer. Cave croc lacings; ascendant fossils and leaping dolphin. Gloriously seductive nose pulls you in for closer juicings. Clean citrus fruits on stainless steel. Lithe tangerine, lemon and lime zest, grapefruit candy, orange jessamine, Douglas fir, crystalline citrus honey. Floral component carries onto the palate, with a zesty-pith overall creating intensely bright flavors. Dried pineapple, orange, lemon, lime, salty lemon, tartaric textures, buzzy lemon peel finish. Great summery session-y number. .

Rosy grapefruit opacity, hi speed blender crowned, textured like a coat of paint. Oily lacing of connect-the-dots. Awesome jungle humidity suggesting banana and pineapple, sweet grapefruit and tangerine, coconut, marigold, candied lemon, honeycomb and jackfruit. Incredible entry of creamy banana and guava, lemon zest, with tiny glimpses of strawberry, cherry and raspberries, a dragonfruit texture, lemongrass sorbet, tangerine pulp, yellow mango, and finally miracle fruit transmogrification to balance the red and white with the vestiges of sweet ginger, tartaric biscuit, and coconut oil. Complex, evasive, evocative, hazy-creamy, razzy, racy and ethereal. One of the best IPAs I have had in 2020! Give these guys a trophy, and no, everyone does not get one!

Puffy clouds float atop alpenglow orange opacity, lacing the barriers with the remains of heraldic coats of arms weathered nearly indistinguishable by time, like the thin anonymous gravestones in ancient churchyards. Orange and tangerine, clementine and thyme, ruby grapefruit, and candied lemon, Froot Loops, green grapes, dragon fruit and kiwi scented. Lovely lime and lemongrass, quince, cardamom pod, chamomile, white pepper dusted pineapple, pomelo, and steely minerality that fractures into micro clove and aniseed while immersed in lemon oils and orange. Really nice offering. Keeps you guessing and offers some interesting taste combos.

Pear juice colored, merengue top, stalactic, cephalopodic, surfy lacings and potato-eye dimple dinged tracings. Grapefruit tapioca nose with pink grapefruit nodal components. Lime pulped, and definitely holding. Creamier mouthfeel reveals sweet citrus tangelo, but offers hazelnut, and a certain nugginess suggesting cannabinols. The progression is lime, lemon, grapefruit, pomelo, tangelo, and you know.

Rose-colored gold, opaque; melting hexagonal beeswax comb lacing turns levitating knives, woodcut claws and feathers. Orange, tangerine and apricot richness with tropical pineapple and banana leaf. Lime and lemon pith, lemon-lime bottlecap candy, Alka-seltzer, strangely, plantain, and truncated grapefruit. Perhaps lacks the creaminess of the hazy style in an attempt to keep the abv reasonable?

Apple cider amber with thick day-fog top layer that reduces to snow crystal tam. Mutant duck pond straggling lacing soon becomes window sill insect anatomy graveyard. German beer nose with tinges of orange rinds dried and fresh. Yeasty-haziness gives it green plantain and lightest spearmint marshmallow and artichoke. Damn tasty though, despite its jumble of signals. Jamaican coco bread, rosemary bits, polenta, beer-bitterness that the style usually glosses gives it a nice perspective lemon peel and lime, candied ginger and grapefruit; all low-keyed and harmonious. Lemon bread with poppy. Tasty yeasty baby beastie.

Perfect mouthfeel has a tongue coating lemon marshmallow effect, with creamy citrus dichotomy, tangerine reduction of all its elements, lemon curd, grapefruit oil liqueur-ized, touches of citrus fruits shimmer into existence here then dim, to flare elsewhere on the palate. Clementine, navel orange, tangerine, kumquat, etc.; flashes. Bee pollen from citrus grove bees. Peach flower. Really decadent in its jewelry, but with an ivory milk-ness or banana smoothie as its catalyst. Somehow a cloudy sake in other ways, sweet and juicy, but balanced by the floral fang. .

Here a blob there a blob. Orange, lemon, grapefruit, tangerine oils suspended nebulous. Orange-carrot bread, madeleines, green pineapple, jasmine, honeysuckle. Heavenly clouds evoking scented memories amidst the novel eddies of uncharted aggregates. Creamy, oiled mouthfeel drops heavy through the dream to grapefruit, sassafras, white pepper, sage, lemon-lime pith and zest, with a vaporous orange oil swallowed quickly in a wash of coconut and brown bread finish. Salivating and dropping a few degrees in the process.

Apple juice and antique gold had a baby. Lively head in a rocket blast. Grainy ghoul forest lacing. Lemon, orange and creamy vanilla and lemon panna cotta. Lemongrass and a twist of basil. Palate has a creamy cinnamon and nutmeg, but holds it together in a cream soda meets hops sort of way. Much better than it sounds. This beer gets it right in every way. Balanced, spiced to the ginger gills, and beer-tastic in its taste. True to beer and pumpkin pie spice. Haunting finish.

Grapefruit-clementine nose of carrot sweetness and cut yellow beet teases out almond candy, persimmon, kiwi and green banana. Palate is less tropical, with icy citrus and metallic energy, but texturally creamy; candied sage, Indian gum, Mexican wedding cookie flashbacks, white grapefruit, gooseberry, lime pith and white pomegranate seed nodules. Hints at white pepper in orange pith. I like it. Less “juicy” than suggested, but high quality offering worth the rotation. Something to shake a stick at!

Active mineral component to the sip, lemon oils and grapefruit on the slug, and a resinous and bitter hempseed on the gulp; though sweet citrus sails through. There are competing elements here, that defy cohesion; flashes of brilliance, and tumult. Feels like a damn party alright. .
