Boushey Vineyard Jolie Bouche Syrah 2013

I couldn’t wait, had to open up another bottle, so good! Earthy nose with some hints of green pepper. Such a nice wine to drink now. — 6 years ago

Black Rock Vineyard The Magician's Assistant Cabernet Franc Rosé 2016

A little Rosé magic from Sleight of Hand on Christmas Eve. The Magicians Assistant Rosé is one of better Rosés I had recently. On the nose; pink rose petals, beautiful fragrant soft minerals, powdery chalkiness and lean fruits of; watermelon near the rhine, cherries, strawberries & pink grapefruit w/ a touch of sugar. The mouthfeel is medium, rich and a touch gluey. The palate fruits match the nose. Minerals that grip softly, just the right amount of powdery chalkiness, pink roses, watermelon Jolly rancher, perfect round acidity and an elegant, balanced finish. Merry Christmas everyone ! May it be joyous! 🎁🎄❄️⛄️🥗 — 6 years ago

Olsen Brothers Vineyard Syrah 2013

From the K vintners winemaker’s somewhat new project. Cocoa, dried prune and dates, stewed blackberries. Very well balanced with a great finish. Have a few more of these guys stored away, can’t wait to see what the future holds. — 6 years ago

Maison Bleue

Boushey Vineyard Liberté Syrah 2008

Nearly two years since I last open one of these and it has definitely seen better days. It's only seven years old. Initial barnyard funk gives way to a host of aromas—leather, cured meat, musty (Brettanomyces?), teriyaki beef jerky. Loads of black fruit, soy sauce and prunes with smooth tannins. I have one more of this vintage. Drink 'em if you got 'em. I certainly will be. — 9 years ago

Côte Bonneville

DuBrul Vineyard Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Dark, dense nose of black/blue fruit, chocolate.
All elements come together beautifully; dark fruit, perfect acidity, smooth tannin, long finish. Killer.

New ice wine producer for me from Yakima Valley. Paired well with Hedy's ice cream & sorbet creation. Nice array of stone fruits, marmalade, nuts, dry pineapple, wet stones, very good soft minerality, beautiful acidity, a thick, rich well polished finish with just the right amount of (RS) sugar. — 7 years ago

Light in color, wet leather and tiny curry and spice on the nose. Low tannins, very round and pleasant. Almost more Merlot like as opposed to a big Washington cab. Smooth and easy drinking delicious Cabernet. — 8 years ago
