2012. Would be perfect in warmer weather. Crisp, dry, flavorful. — 13 years ago
A GSM blend from Cris Cherry at Villa Creek, this is what I would call one of his entry-level wines. Doesn’t possess the depth or complexity of some of his other cuvees like High Road or Avenger, but is still really enjoyable and a great value. — 6 years ago

Monthly WTF group recap. Theme this month was “bring something special”. Normally we taste all of the wines blind, but we decided to do a relaxed night with amazing wines at a great restaurant. Spectacular evening!
This was my contribution. Again, it was paired next to the filtered ‘11 vintage and the colors were incredibly different, with this being hay/straw colored with just a touch of cloudy appearance. If guessing blind, I would have called this Aubert SugarShack (which I love). Medley of lemon cream, marzipan and honeyed sea salt on the nose with a rich and powerful profile on the palate, yet it is nimble...perfectly balanced. Sweet oak, caramel dipped golden delicious apple at the finish. — 7 years ago
Very fruity and approachable, very ripe. Fruit driven. Body driven more by alcohol and tannin than acid. A very drinkable and delicious wine — 10 years ago
Cheap and crisp — 11 years ago
Phenomenal stuff! Balanced elegant Syrah that is equal parts savory and fruity. #syrah #washingtonwine #gramercycellars #craftedbyanms — 11 years ago
One of my favorite Merlots for the state of Washington. 100% merlot - 3 vineyards blended. Solid wine and not overpriced. I used to by a bottle a week or so because I couldn't control my consumption of it. :) dig it! — 11 years ago
2006 Cavatappi Winery Nebbiolo Maddalena Red Willow Vineyard - An Italian style Nebbiolo from Washington state? Yessir... And it's tasty too. Very Italian in style. — 12 years ago
Black cherry and ripe flavors of other red fruits, for me cranberry and strawberry. Delicious but not quite as elegant as I enjoyed in the 2017 vintage — 6 years ago
Purple, moderate plus pigment extraction. Floral and cherry notes in nose, not sure about black olive as someone else noted, but some herbal and barrel toast notes, yes. Flavors of cherry peel and berry with depth and length. A hint of black pepper in aftertaste after its been open an hour. Restrained acidity and alcohol, soft mouthfeel, tannins largely missing in action but not needed, just inexpressive or well hidden. Not a typical wine producer which is what makes them special; Michael typically puts his own spin on the wines he makes. Paired well with a hearty but light pork and tomato lasagna I made using a Cooks Illustrated recipe from their cookbook — 6 years ago
Really good with pizza well balanced — 9 years ago
