2011 vintage. From magnum. Medium lemon hue. On the nose, very pleasant aromas - citrus fruits, light oak aromas, mineral crushed rock. Medium concentration. On the palate, great acidity and textural - ripe and round but with some finesse and elegance typical of Roulot. This is a keeper. Still has plenty of years ahead of it. Drink now until 2027. Very good indeed. — 9 years ago
We don’t drink a lot of Grüner Veltliners, but we thoroughly enjoyed this one. Light and well balanced. Surprisingly subtle acidity for a German style wine, at least in comparison with Rieslings. Subtle aromas of green melon and papaya. Not sure how this compares with other Grüner Veltliners at $24, but compared with other white wines in general, I would probably buy it again at that price. — 9 years ago
Amazing Chardonnay that is crisp, floral and un-oaked. — 10 years ago

Really smooth not bubbly — 11 years ago
Lovely floral perfumed nose. Not bone dry with some flesh. Very tasty with a little spritzig. — 11 years ago
From the Tour dArgent wine list. FnA. This is amazing Chablis. Light to med gold. Closed at first. Just wait... There it is. Kermidgean white soil and white rock stone. Shell bits. Over 3 hrs this built into that honeyed mineral stone pit fruit thing that is aged Raveneau. It's what got me interested in Chablis. It's why that disease continues. — 11 years ago

Sophisticated summer in a bottle... Lovely bouquet of flowers, peaches, vanilla, carmel and almonds- reminded me of peach cobbler. I was grateful for the long clean finish as I did not want it to end. Lovely! — 13 years ago
Renegade Wine dinner series at Rebelle NYC presented by sommelier Patrick Cappiello. Focus was on Cab Franc: 15 wines paired with 5 courses. Posting a few favorites.
Was excited to see this on the list. A very French style of Cab Franc - but a nice balance of savory and fruit. A touch sour but very smooth, round and refreshing. Was excellent with food (beet tartare).

The 2006 Rusty Shed Chardonnay is a blend of four blocks of Chardonnay on the Flat Rock Property. Grapes are hand picked and hand sorted before whole bunch pressing takes place. It was then cold settled in stainless steel, 100% barrel fermented and left on the lees for 10 months. Wild and commercial yeasts were used for primary fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation to soften the natural acidity. The result?
Beautiful example of a mid to full bodied Chardonnay with butter, vanilla, apples and light spice on the palate. A lot of flavour and elegance at this price point. Sampled this 2006 in 2017 but this should sit well and perhaps develop more for a few more years. Best part? It's from Niagara! Loved it!

Clean and crisp, I really like this wine. — 12 years ago

Nice dry crisp Riesling — 13 years ago
Awesome on your palate and wallet. Big lush fruit but well balanced and avoids the one dimensional kick that I often associate with this grape. Meadowood in Napa. — 9 years ago
Excellent expression of the grape. Totally different from a South American Malbec. The fruit was subdued and the usually secondary notes of tobacco and spice came to the fore. Such complexity that unfolded across the palate, ending with a slightly dusty tannin finish. Great stuff. — 9 years ago
Very good dry white! — 9 years ago
Fruity and crisp; not overly acidic. Just a touch of sweetness. 😀 — 10 years ago
Fluent flavored with enhanced aroma. Lighter than I expected. Good match with spicy food and white mean. Not so much with red meat. — 11 years ago
Like a lot. Fruity, not overly sweet. — 11 years ago
Still tight and tannic, big fruit bomb in the mouth. Opens nicely, nose is reserved with dark fruit and pencil shavings. — 12 years ago
Pairs nicely with Matthew McConaughey. Lime Blossom. Limemade. Key lime pie — 12 years ago
For all those that love to say, "this California Chardonnay is Burgundian," can check out White Rock. — 13 years ago

THE. BEST. DOMESTIC. CHARD!!!!!! Yes, yes, yes. I'm blown away. This is the best domestic chard I've ever drank. This particular vintage is killer. I could poor this in a lineup of top notch Meursault and none would be the wiser, that's how good this is. Intense smoke/funk brought on by minerality that most domestic producers could only dream of. A legendary wine in my book. @June's All Day, Austin TX — 9 years ago
