Great acid. Grapefruit and lemon. Dry. Not hugely complex. — 6 years ago

Wow, amazing fine and likewise complex spatlese; thanx Werner; it fits beautiful to the South African style pumpkinsoup I’ve cooked from my late ripend bottlegourds — 7 years ago
Classic German Riesling aromas of honey and apple. On the palate, minerality, honey and ripe apple with a wonderful mouthfeel. Finishes slightly tart with notes of pink grapefruit. 2012 vintage. $22 — 9 years ago
This is the Beerenauslese. Had the Spat 76 as well and the difference is sticking alto ugh there is a similar profile and backbone. A very intriguing and mystic tea like nose, melted with quince jam, cinnamon and confit orange peel. A lifetime experience — 10 years ago
Great density here. And love the label — 6 years ago
Somm- Sweet good — 6 years ago
Don’t be fooled by its relatively dark color: this rosé is not flabby, nor is it sweet (although it does have a little RS). Strawberries and cream meets the tartness of rhubarb. Pair with a bendy straw and a back porch in the summer. — 7 years ago
Lovely bubbles, slightly dry, pleasant mineralogy — 8 years ago
Enjoyable with ken Werner - shout out to E.T. — 9 years ago

No wine gets a 10! But my god! This is an amazing Riesling. So good with spicy foods like Jamaican jerk chicken. — 5 years ago
Round and warm vintage dominant. Good quality but lacked the vivacity I look for. — 6 years ago

Strong wooded, brownish, chocolate and cherries. Long tabacco aftertaste. Not bad 🙂 — 8 years ago

Balanced with rich flavours. All the citrus and high acidity one would expect from a Rheingau riesling but with a high amount of sugar for a Trocken wine to temper the acidity. — 10 years ago

Star bright straw gold with green highlights. Inviting nose of yellow apple and orange blossom. Medium palate of bright yellow apple, honey, and white peach. Bracing acidity balances the off-dryness making for a great accompaniment to roasted poultry or pork. Drink now through 2030. — 4 years ago
