Beautiful aromas, hazelnuts, pineapple, green apple, bone dry, complex, layers of flavors! — 8 years ago
What a value. Lovey nose of minerals and stone fruits. Palate is rich and ripe yet this is framed beautiful by amazing acidity but the texture is still rich. This is awesome. Nice finish as well but the mid and attack are the star. So juicy and light yet rich. — 8 years ago
First Pinot Blanc from Germany and... Wow. Such pure and concentrated Pinot Blanc character. So pretty. — 8 years ago
This wine gets better every vintage. Just stunning. Color is almost a pinkish hue on this years. Guessing some skin contact but only a little just to get the color as this has no tannin etc. What a nose. Stone fruits, hint of wood, huge minerality that is so clean and smells like some fresh new element. Can’t explain it. So mineral. Just soars yet is straight and direct. Some pink and white flowers as well. Concentrated yet so so elegant with dazzling purity and an intense fruit skin character. Dazzling purity and such focus and linearity. The fruit is so well defined and just stays with you and pushes forward on the palate slowly. Knockout finish. Just a brilliant bottle. I’m sure later in the day it will improve and push my score maybe higher. As it airs the complexity of aromas reaches hypersonic overdrive. Just insane. What a wine. Easily will age 15 years but I imagine in 7-8 it’s really gonna peak. — 4 years ago

Ok, so like Michael said, there was this funky cheese whiff when we first opened it, but after some air (and a bottle of Ziereisen Lugle pinot blanc and conversation about pussy hat parades), this wine settled in as the perfect companion to our smitten kitchen one pan chicken tikka with potatoes and cauliflower. Nutty, mellow, nutmeg, and smooth tannins in a white whine ("orange wine" to be exact). Yum. Sad I only have the one more bottle... — 7 years ago
Blackberry nose. Relative dark seems lighter than the Köpfle. Less interesting wine compared to the Köpfle and closer in taste to the Ziereisen(s). Blackberry, tealeaves VERY good but not a standout in the top leagues from BADEN aka the Gran Crus from Enderle and Moll. — 8 years ago

Lovely nose despite deceitfully rich gold color. Pears, smoke, spice, apple skin. Lovely. Some wet stones as well. Palate is textured and ripe but with wonderful juiciness. Great acids and cleanliness. Sappy and pure. Really nice. Complex mineral and acid driven finish. — 6 years ago
I can't even explain this nose. So complex. Lavender, bath soaps, the best bath soaps ever. Sickness. Genius. One of the best noses ever. On any wine ever. Palate is dry and juicy. So clean, 12 alcohol. Sick minerals. This is a genius wine of the highest degree. — 8 years ago
Bright on the front end with a dry and clean finish! Would order it again — 8 years ago

Just a stunning but young Jaspis Syrah which is one of the greatest Syrahs in the world. Stunningly aromatic nose that echoes the Ziereisen Pinots yet it’s Syrah. Meat, fresh and bloody, some pleasant bittersweet cocoa like oak. Insane aromas. Head spinning. Berry. Flowers. Tree bark. Earth. Just so so aromatic. And right out of the bottle. Yet the palate is a bit tighter but no less amazing. Amazing fruit and so silky. Amazingly juicy but also delicate and just has a palate presence that demands your focus. Amazing fruit on the backend that is almost Burgundian. My goodness this is so so long. Hermitage level. Endless finish. It’s so fresh and the limestone just screams on the finish. Just an amazing wine. — 4 years ago
