Lemons, mineralogy, cider, green apples. Super floral on the nose and long finish. Some tannin and med plus acidity. If you’re tired of regular ries this is your boy. — 6 years ago
Very Burgundy in style with strawberries & cream + a touch of herbs. Nice mouthfeel with polished tannins and red fruit, juicy acidity. Very nice balance with a lingering finish. This is much bette than expected, Pommard Village quality for a fraction of the price. — 6 years ago

Powerful yet fresh, with loads of spicy & herby tones, backed by ripe pears. Great balance and a long, mineral finish.

Wow, an absolutely glorious btl of wine. On the.nose: soft cola, blueberry, wild strawberry, a hint of young coconut, fantastic spice, freshly cut savory herbs...stunning nose. On the palate: fantastic acidity, crushed herbs, wild strawberry, crushed seeds, spice...soft tannin on the fantastically elegant finish. Young, but so much complexity and elegance. Unbelievably good. — 4 years ago

Wonderful Franken-trocken , tiny effervescent bubbles on opening, very light, great mouthfeel, slight butterscotch on the tongue and soft mineral essence in the finish. — 8 years ago
Sweet; Very drinkable — 8 years ago
Pop and pour. The nose...just enrapturing. Soft coffee and coconut notes, bright raspberry, ripe wild strawberry, herbal notes, savory notes...amazing complexity. On the palate, lovely acidity, a touch of bitter medicine, earth and tree bark, then red raspberry, pepper. Medium bodied, and soft but very finely grained tannin on the finish. My best bottle so far. — 5 years ago
Good nose, fairly sharp on the palate, maybe needs time to open up. Out of a magnum. Very well matched to confit neck of lamb. — 6 years ago

Shouldn’t we rate more wines on drinkability? I’d enjoyed a glass or two of other wines over dinner and then opened this as a reliable partner for the evening. I’m now finishing the bottle. On my own 🙁 /😋 Yes the Germans haven’t caught burgundy up but this still is a satisfying pinot at an affordable price. It’s fairly light on its feet, carries a twist of spice and is more savoury than new world pinot pretenders. Mission accomplished. — 4 years ago
