Very intense Shiraz. Leave this open one hour before consuming and it will achieve balance. It should be consumed with lamb. After an hour, the overly peppery finish calms down leaving an elegant Shiraz. An excellent buy. — 9 months ago
Lush and bright with a crisp finish. Lime, green apple, kiwi, white peach and a little melon with a smattering of herbs rather than heavy pyrazines. Lots of acidity for freshness, although a bit high in alcohol, so has some body. The oak doesn’t get in the way for me, as it often does w SB — it adds to the texture and lush mouthfeel and adds a a hint of spice, but otherwise pretty classic. — 3 years ago

Cabernet Franc Merlot blend. Absolutely stunning. Layers of fruit and spice all harmoniously interwoven with soft gravelly tannin. Wow! — 5 months ago

Medium deep ruby quite wide ruby , pink rim . Quite peppery black cherry jam , smoky bacon , dried herbs , touch of violet . On the palate quite cool and refreshing , those dark cherry fruits and black pepper notes , touch of anis and herbs . Quite prominent acidity and linear in mouth feel , slightly bitter quite dry tannins, balanced alcohol . Ok length with a peppery , quite lean finish . Elegant and reserved in style . This is drinking well now and over the next 5 years. — 10 months ago

Has a rich scent, slightly buttery with blackberry and ripe black cherry flavour hints. Finishes clean, definitely a favourite. — 7 years ago
Nose of ripe; blackberries, blueberries, black plum, black raspberries, dark cherries, white & black pepper, soft, chalky minerals with light & dark fresh florals. On the palate, lean; blueberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, cherries, black licorice, soft baking spices; clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, powdery crushed rocks, leather, dry & fresh dark florals with understated white & black pepper. This has one of those brilliant, well polished high def née world wine noses.
Subtle fruit, yet so perfect the aroma.
A touch of salinity leads to classic Cab fruit, that hint of almond, those delicately placed petals on the palette, persimmon in the end game, with minty acidity and well focused tannin.
I’d say this wine has come together perfectly with time. — 3 years ago
Top Sauv Blanc For sure. More smooth compared to other NZ sauvignon blancs but similarly crisp and citrusy. — 4 years ago
