Delish. Took camping. Super refreshing — 4 years ago
See previous Delectable note. Very dark Ruby in colour - opaque. A beautiful fragrant black fruited nose of mulberry, cassis and dried herbs. It’s nice to vary our producers from Margaret River and this is one that one doesn’t often see. This was most impressive - full bodied palate showing blackberry, eucalypt, bay leaf, capsicum, plum - in fact all of the Cabernet descriptors. Graphite texture with velvety tannins. This is from the southern end of Margs near the likes of Cape Mentelle and Voyager Estate. To repeat the previous note this won a major Trophy in London for best Cabernet Sauvignon from Margaret River. This could cellar for at least another 5 years. — 2 years ago

Nothing to add much to my notes of 67 weeks ago except to say it is not showing as much oak now as it was then. Black pepper notes. As written before I feel Margaret River is best suited to Cabernet but if you are going to grow Shiraz it needs to be in the south where Cape Mentelle and Voyager are situated. Not so much in Wilyabrup in the north of Margaret River. Tasted the last bottle 50 weeks later on 27th August 2022 with similar notes - black pepper and black cherry notes. Probably one of the better Shiraz from Margaret River. — 4 years ago
Really good ! Acidity. Lemon , apples . Good length . — 2 years ago
Another delicious bottle. Even after being open a few days it's drinking smooth and full bodied with no off flavors or smells. I think we will have to go back and get a case of this. — 5 years ago

Aromatics of black fruits with a touch of menthol (eucalyptus in these parts). Not as herbaceous as the northern part of Margaret River up In Wilyabrup. Oak is noticeable on the palate initially (even at 16 years). One of the few Cab Merlot blends as their top Cuvée (Cullen is another) in preference to straight Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate ripe black fruits and mulberry. Finishes with fine tannins. HH has a long drinking window on this, up to 2039 which I don’t think many will have the willpower to follow- including me. — 6 months ago
