Beautiful nose and long finish . Matched well with grilled flank steak at Libby’s birthday, then perfect next night with truffle and mushroom pasta ( TJs). 1ltr bottle! — 7 years ago
Wine of the night. This wine had EXCELLENT fruit, and showed NO VISIBLE SIGNS of decline. Great powerful blackberry. I was guessing 01 Stag's Leap or Rutherford. Turns out it was Caymus SS 01, but I was second guessing myself on the year because it was a very purple color into the decanter and showing well. The wine had great vanilla on the front, blackberry on the front, and a more youthful middle and finish with some herb. This wine has 10 years left in it no doubt. Whoever cut this one off at 2017 has no idea. This one literally showed no signs of decline whatsoever. Drink by date 2007 - 2030. — 8 years ago
For that extra special date night or big moment in your life, this red is always a winner. — 10 years ago
First Chave. First red of the night. So dusty and intriguing. Not sure it came alive fully. Will see how the remainder drinks today — 11 years ago
Was slightly disappointing against the other premier crus from the night. Not the first underwhelming encounter with HB, maybe just not my wine. — 7 years ago
Our last night of vacation with a special wine😊 — 10 years ago
Had the 2011 vintage. Beautiful nose. On the palette: leather, dark sour cherry, a little pepper-like heat, a little sort of wet forest type quality. Medium tannins that grip just the right amount. @Paz Master try this one by the fire on a rainy night in NYC. Perfect for that — 10 years ago

Great food - great wine - great company! What a night! — 12 years ago
Fortunate enough to have tasted this along with 6 other stunning wines last night during a cellar tasting. This 36 year old 2nd growth was nearly perfect, unusual but very pleasant mint, camphor, crushed sage and rosemary aromas with the same cooling delicate herbal initial palate. Dried but expressive red fruits mid- palate with a great structural graphite element throughout. Whiff of new leather. Changed in the glass showing different mellow facets. Pretty much intercepted at the exact right time. A real privilege to taste such a renowned vintage with folks who appreciates what was in front of them. — 7 years ago
Night 1 of the Fall WNH event in San Antonio. What a killer start to the extended weekend, all courtesy to Shawn and Jennifer for hosting! Tonight was Italian wines.
Another in the running for WOTN. Maple and rich! Cherry and vanilla tobacco on the nose with herbal spice and a strawberry tart finish. Young and acidic! There is a very underripe red fruit dominant profile here. Crazy how young it tastes for 23yrs old. Bravo @Shawn R ! — 7 years ago
Tasted blind, from magnum. Old dark ruby color. Amber rims. Notes of black cherry, spice, earth and something like pencil lead. Ok in the mouth, refined, but lacking energy. With the meal this was enjoyable but was somewhat sleepy all night. Likely at peak and given the magnum format, it's time to drink up 750s. Guessed 62 Latour. — 7 years ago
Simply beautiful Beaujolais the aromas bursts out of the glass. Floral and delicate like walking through a garden on a sweet spring day. Tons of red perfectly ripe fruits such as strawberries and red cherries. Just as delicate on the pallet as the nose with mouth filling flavors of cherry and red current. Surprisingly long finish that lingers throughout your pallet. Perfect BBQ wine on a cool summer night simply fresh and enjoyable. — 8 years ago
Mild tropical flavors, fresh and crisp, it's fantastic! — 9 years ago
Really enjoyed a bottle at the Ore House in Durango. Sunday being 1/2 price bottle night made it all the more enjoyable. — 10 years ago
1995 from Mag. A beast that evolved all night. — 10 years ago
Probably my first place of the night overall. Also has the most legs to go the distance. Put this one away for 5-10 years before trying again. Very balanced but built for true greatness. — 11 years ago
1948 Cheval Blanc going to be a great night. — 11 years ago

Monthly WTF guys blind tasting group. This month was our annual, and famed, Left Bank vs Right Bank theme. All wines served blind as usual. Started off with a Rosé and a champagne. Great night.
This was one of my favorites of the night. One of the best young Bordeaux’s I’ve tasted. Ripe and modern nose (fruit forward) with smoked meat and baked blackberry pie. The palate revealed cocoa/dark chocolate, baking spices and a hint of blue fruit wrapped by black fruit. Big. Will obviously get better, but was shocked how good this was now. I called this ‘12-14 Left Bank. — 6 years ago
