Nose is very rocky with loads of flowers and fresh cherries and some cassis. Lovely wet earth as well. Echoes of Burgundy. Also that metal smell I get from Nerello and Etna wines. Fresh and energetic with an invigorating palate and not as much depth as the Chiuse Vidalba which is the high end cuvee but this is delicious and very well made. My second time trying the 2014 Reserva from Muga, this time again a superb example that even in an under-par vintage shows what a reliable wine this is. Chocolate is the aroma that leads from the glass, followed by blackberry, cassis, vanilla, kumquat and fresh tobacco. The palate has great concentration to the fruit, whilst being plush with gentle tannins and bitter orange acidity. — 4 years ago
