Big rich red! At first sip, perfect — 6 months ago
Easy drinking at its best! Light and juicy, but by no means superficial. Dark berries, Cherry, some earthern notes and pepper. Gentle flow with medium acidity on the palate, tanins finish with a short and finely dosed grip. — 2 years ago
Sweet note. Drinkable. Fruity. — 3 years ago
This Mexican red wine certainly feels earthy and fruity like other Valle de Guadalupe wines I have had. This wine, though comes from the Italian grape Nebbiolo, doesn’t really have the sharpness (full tannins) most Italian wines have and most often need a food pairing. This wine because it’s light, smooth and almost Zin-like without being overly sweet. — 5 years ago

Medium-dark color with some bricking, this is more backward and less evolved than the 1990 side-by-side, showing dark fruits, some Brett, but some tannic structure as well, lacks that sweet American note of the 1990, long, lingering finish, and I’d guess another 3-5 years of further improvement.
I really adore these early Pesquera Crianza (the regular cuvée, the Gran Reserva was always too much of an oak show for my palate), a wonderful find a few weeks ago while doing some cellar rearranging!! — 3 months ago
