Light in body, yet robust in flavor. A ruby red hue with medium body and nose like fresh cut red fruit, and slight pepper spice. Acidity is bright and sharp, could use a year or 2 of age, with notes of slightly underripe strawberries, black cherries and red berries, white pepper, slate and a long dry finish that feels almost like menthol or mint, but not as specific. — 4 months ago
Had the privilege of being the first non Quinta Do Vale Meao persons to have a try of this wine. Probably one of the best Portuguese dry reds still with lots of ageing potential. Appreciated that they combine tradition and technology. Complex and elegant despite its youth. — 8 months ago

Volcano Essence. Indigenous variety from Canary Islands. Fruity, Peppery and mineral. Bold and complex. Honest and intriguing . Rare and singular... Medium weight with mid to high tannins and balanced acidity. This is a serious wine for serious drinkers. This is a trip into tradition and knowledge. Masterfully crafted in Abona. — 5 years ago
At Sailor. Very funky, farmy, mineral, but on the lighter end of medium. Bramble with mushrooms and volcanic soil. Prune, red fruit, some anise. 02/21/24 — 3 months ago

The 2020 Crianza is a 100% Tempranillo from Pesquera del Duero. Aged for 14 months in American oak barrels, it's garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose offers strawberry, herb, undergrowth and oak aromas. Dry and taut on the palate with finely-grained tannins and a compact profile, this is a flavorful example of a Ribera red. Sweet note. Drinkable. Fruity. — 2 years ago
This Mexican red wine certainly feels earthy and fruity like other Valle de Guadalupe wines I have had. This wine, though comes from the Italian grape Nebbiolo, doesn’t really have the sharpness (full tannins) most Italian wines have and most often need a food pairing. This wine because it’s light, smooth and almost Zin-like without being overly sweet. — 4 years ago

A lot of body and texture, with smooth tannin and not too dry — 2 months ago
