Impresionante vista picota de capa media-alta con ribete carmesí. Lágrima fina y densa que tinta la copa.
Aromas que necesitan de aireación para desplegar un abanico cuyo protagonista es el aporte mineral de pedernal que se ve acompañado por sensaciones de fruta roja y negra (arándanos), recuerdos de hoja de tabaco y toques balsámicos.
Ataque inicial picante con un carbónico sutil. Muy buena acidez. Tanino rugoso y sensaciones sedosas. Fresco, complejo y de buen recorrido. Adictivo.
Vino personal de Imanol Garay al que hay que acercarse con la mente abierta y huyendo de estereotipos.
A mi, personalmente, me ha encantado, aunque le queda recorrido y, quizás, dar aún lo mejor de sí con más tiempo.

How times change. 15 years ago I'd not have given 5 year tinta negra blends a second glance. This does what it says on the bottle--it is full and rich. Crème brûlée, butterscotch, almonds, vanilla, and healthy acidity. Only lacking that final layer of complexity that great aged madeira can contain. Stunning QPR for madeira. — 7 years ago

Rich dark berry fruit aroma with earthy notes to it. Smooth soft tannin structure with some delicious dark berry fruit richness. There is still lots of flavour to this wine, could've left for 18 more months.... but was awesome tonight, not a wine for the faint hearted — 8 years ago

I agree with Alex Liddell that it's hard to get worked up about 3-5 year blends of tinta negra mole. So where are the madeiras for everyday drinking? This colheita answers that question. Nearly twenty years old, medium rich, with a fantastically deceiving caramel nose. Fresh acidity with burnt caramel, nutshells, citrus, and other maderised notes on the palate. Short finish. Brilliant as an opener or on its own. — 8 years ago
