Not unlike a mid-level Piemonte red with a little French intrigue. Respectable finish and complexity. This unoaked wine - 100% Chardonnay - smells great. It has a rich, golden tint and a little Champagne-like funk on the nose. I have only encountered that quality once before in a still wine, and it was in a Chardonnay from Uruguay. In this Moroccan Chardonnay it is not as pronounced, and it might be taken as salinity. The fruit aromas offer nectarines, peaches, pineapples and a touch of lime. In the mouth, fantastic acidity makes a refreshing sip. Tropical fruit flavors dominate - papaya, mango, pineapple - and there is an earthy quality that is expected after the aromas telegraphed it. The wine finishes citrusy, but it doesn't last very long. — 8 years ago

2013. It has a medium ruby color that's slightly cloudy with a young nose of cherries and tabacco while showing a tint of mustiness and slight volatile acidity. The mouth is dry and full of fruit recalling the cherries and adding some cranberries and dark chocolate. All and all it's a good wine but a bit dry and acidic for my taste. More marketing from Gredos. Good but not great. 15% alcohol with a medium color depth???? — 9 years ago

Light straw in color with a light golden tint.

Beautiful nose of tropical fruits, white flowers, limes, lemon zest, mangoes, guava, peaches, apples, passion fruit, pears, melons and white pepper.

Medium-bodied and crisp with high acidity.

Dry and fruity on the palate with green apples, grapefruits, limes lemons and spices.

Long finish with nice acidity, bitter almonds and pepper.

What a nice Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough. Refreshing and crisp for this wonderful Florida weather. Nice enough to sip on by itself. I paired it with grilled salmon.

The pale gold tint shows a little more color than you may expect in a Chardonnay. The nose is elegant and restrained, with apples and pineapples joining a light touch of oak. On the palate, that oak gets a little noisier. The wine is reminiscent of an old-line California Chardonnay, buttery and a bit fat with a wonderful, creamy mouthfeel. The difference between California and Rhode Island comes in the minerality - the eastern earth is more pronounced than in those big, ol’ Chardonnays from the West. — 8 years ago

2006 vintage. Rose. Medium salmon hue with orange tint on rim. Red currants and cranberries. Herbal notes as wine warms in the glass. Generous on the palate. Integrated acidity. This is a wine I need to think about. Nose is clean-if-light with lots of peach and sweet yellow fruit. A bit of white pepper comes through too. Color is deep and dark gold with deep orange tint as well. Palate is dry, mouthcoating, and chewy with fine tannins in this orange wine. Alcohol is well-balanced and highlights the big peach and sweet mango fruit. White pepper and spices of nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice round this out.leafing into a medium to long finish. I'm thinking that this would be fantastic with charred and caramelized poultry. Nice. — 11 years ago

This excellent Sangiovese is unfiltered and has a maroon rather than ruby tint. It is slightly fuller of body than your typical Sangio and extremely polished, and worked well as a pairing with vegetable pasta dishes, with chicken sausage on the side. Balanced and enjoyable now. I had it just by itself.
