2013 Wittmann Riesling QbA trocken Rheinhessen Germany grown biodynamically. Reflective of its cool vintage conditions, similar to 2004 & 2008. A sense of sweetness on the attack but then the acidity kicks in on the mid- and back palate, some CO2 prickle. Green apple, grapefruit and lime. Lovely texture, feels complete, tart finish. Nice wine at this level and considering 2013 being a difficult year!

High acid year. Totally rocking it.

Pale yellow with green tint, tearstaining mouthwatering swirl; sweet delicious citric nose; rich and robust bone-dry taste with fairly high alcohol, and long finish dominated by acid and tart green apple and some 3iery aromas. Nice message in this bottle from Wittman. Want to try Morstein next.
