£40 Toro joint rev'd w/ Ed Bozzard & Timothy Joint 👍 that needs more time in bottle or a serious decant (this was dbl decanted 24 hrs before) the structure is similar to Pintia 😉
🍷 Dark ruby red
👃Tar, minerals, earth & ripe black fruits w/ coffee punching through & light smokey oaks wiffs
👄 Med+ dark plumpy sweet fruit body with fine dry tannins that need air/time w/ big coffee kick
🎯 Med+ dark drying fruit punchy coffee finale
Decant 3-4hrs+ & better with food 👍 — 8 years ago
Moins bien que mon souvenir, un peu de surchauffe, aucune nuance, ni complexité — 3 years ago
No words. Natty crunk meets ‘60s right bank Bordeaux. Luncheon claret...as you might have been served by Warhol or Timothy Leary. The Merlot seems a bit riper and more assertive in this vintage, but the CF wrapper leaf and cranberry pop comes in on the surprisingly suave and sneaky-tannic finish. There are no better wines being made in America if you love things that have one foot firmly rooted in the classics and the other with the itch for the new. Superlative and timeless. — 6 years ago

@Timothy Dunn Sonoma Pinot at its best — 8 years ago
Toffee and cream brûlée in the nose, mellow, mild sweetness and a hint of wood throughout with a nice finish. Second best at Taylor's today. — 8 years ago
Sweet and medium, very pleasant to drink. — 8 years ago
Enjoyed this with friends in Steamboat. A crowd pleaser and a smooth, delicious red. — 9 years ago
Great Oregon Pinot, lots of earth and spice. Definitely buy again. — 4 years ago
A nose of, well, Pinot! No mistaking this red fruit - raspberry, strawberry - and rose petals. The palate has a touch of darker fruit up front but then lavender, cinnamon and strawberry rhubarb. The finish is medium length. This goes down (a little) easy. — 6 years ago

Taylor's is now into its 4th century & one of the oldest Port houses. It is the last totally independent company of the original British Port houses, still family owned and managed. Aged for 10 years in oak casks. Amber color with aromas of sweet dried fruits and nutty notes. On the palate sweet ripe fruit in a nutty oak wrapper, some vanilla and ending with a raisin aftertaste. Smooth, Nice value. — 8 years ago

Raisin, rose, a little tomato. Much brighter and fresher than the '66. Nice balance. Lovely for price. — 9 years ago

1985 vintage. This was the first vintage for Jeremy Bull ( who moved from Taylor's) and as I tasted it young many times, I considered it a sleeper of the vintage (with Fonseca being the superstar). And it surely does not disappoint now at almost 4 decades old. Solid colour. Still lots of black fruit in the nose and the mouth, dark chocolate and spices with impeccable balance and great length. You can still find this in Portugal at a fraction of the price of the big boys. Highly recommended. — 3 years ago
