Skin contact timorasso by Ricci - so delicious, beautiful amber color, crystal clear, funky nose but rich caramelized fruit and medium tannins — 2 years ago
Nose is lemon floor polish in a good way. Tropical flowers. Aerating nicely. Gorgeous as it opens. Incredibly intense tropical flowers and lemons. Penetrating. Massa is more correct This is more Dali. Truly almost surreal.
Extremely rich on the palate. Tropical fruits. Not super mineral. Delicious. Juicy. Tart acidity. More like an acidic northern rhone wine than massa. Lithe juiciness on the finish. Elegant and so fine. At times acupuncture of flavors lacerate the palate. Tiny needles of flavor. So precise.

The Solis Vis is 100% Timorasso grape. The white wine is a pale straw yellow in the glass. Its nose gives off a wonderful salinity, with lime and minerals aplenty. The acidity is fine and the palate has citrus, apricots and peaches bursting forth. I’m always a sucker for any Italian white wine not named Grigio, and this one does nothing to dissuade me. — 5 years ago
Unusual grape. Has a bit of petrol like Reisling, good acid. — 6 years ago
Citrus forward with notable viscosity in a way so many skin contact wines could only dream of. — 9 months ago
Dark golden in color.
Strong nose that resembles a Burgundy Chardonnay.
Full bodied and soft with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing citrus, lemons, yellow apples, spices, minerals, light earth, wood, honey and herbs.
Long delicious and tangy finish.
This is a new grape variety for me. What a delicious surprise.
This white wine from Piedmont feels like a good quality White Burgundy. Tastes like it was aged in oak barrels, even though it wasn't.
Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years, and see how it evolves. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and very enjoyable by itself or with food.
100% Timmorasso grapes were aged in stainless steel vats for 12 months on the lees. A small production of only 10,000 bottles.
14% alcohol by volume.

— 6 years ago

Love . Rich earthy leather. 2014 — 6 years ago
Golden yellow in colour and nicely aromatic with dried herbs, summer meadow, hints of chamomile, plus some ripe yellow peach in the background. Rich yet salty, fresh & quite savoury.
Medium bodied on the palate, beautifully balanced with ripe peach countered by salty minerality and dried herbs.
This has quite some character so works very nicely with food (risotto milanese!!) less so for sipping solo.

OMG comes to mind. Primary flavors of citrus, tropical notes, maybe honey and a waxy note and the acidity to keep it straight. Got to find more.! Great producer. — a year ago
See my review of this wine: it is still wonderful. — 4 years ago
Langhe Savennieres. Decanted for a while. Strong, got that waxy thing, golden color. I wanna say it's opulent, but it's not particularly pleasure-full at the moment. Lovely anyway, with character. — 5 years ago
