You can rarely be disappointed by a HJW wine. This late-released 2014 riesling is a mind blower. As a wine with grapes selected from their three vineyards, the complexity and richness are incredible compares to the other HJW rieslings. Yet this wine retains the consistent balance, delicacy and roundness as always. White flower, peach and citrus on the nose. Perfectly balanced dryness(sweetness) and acidity(medium-) on the palate. Great depth with minerality bursting on all dimensions. It is powerful, but has a soft touch, which is the HJW style IMHO. — 9 years ago
Really really good ! — 10 years ago
Excellent strawberry and restrained, but present oak. New find for me, and probably one of my top three favorite FLX Pinot's from 2012. — 10 years ago
LOVE this one! Deliciously sweet but not an overpowering fruity taste. Definitely would by myself a bottle of this one. — 11 years ago
Dry Riesling. 3 brothers. — 12 years ago
Favorite of the three single vineyards I tasted: picture compressed shelf of shale, crunchy layers of texture & fruit, crackling acid. Finger Lakes grosses gewächs. — 9 years ago
Was a great wine went well with some finger foods on a nice day at the Vinyard. — 9 years ago
I am a big fan of local wine. I am a Boston wine drinker who has been exploring the New York wine region. NY has some great wines. This Chard reserve, tasted three times at the Boston wine expo, is a buttery, oaky, smooth treat! If you can't get NY wines in your state, make the trip. P.S. Stay at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel! — 11 years ago
Will no doubt drink nicer in a year or two or three but no crime to drain now. — 12 years ago

Megan's wine of the night.
Absolutely superb. Definitely old world versus New World. Layers upon layers of deep and rich spice, prune and perhaps some type of herb that I could not place my finger on. you felt a kicking in on the back palate. It had so much going on that you relished every sip. This has another 20 years in front of it easily. It was just a baby tonight. No Decant!!!! Just popped and poured and it was sublime!. Thank goodness I have one left!!!!! Megan is developing an incredible Palate! She knew exactly what she did and did not like this evening. This immediately struck a chord and placed first. In all honesty, we are splitting hairs when it comes to the wines that we poured this evening. This was in my top three as well. Bravo Megan!!! This 100 point beauty definitely lived up to its hype. — 8 years ago
Almost one finger foam and has nice lacing. It has an Amber color. Nice smell and taste some citrus. Overall, it's a very nice beer — 9 years ago
This is my favorite red wine, so far. I try to have it on hand to enjoy when I want to have a glass of wine. — 10 years ago
Cab sauv, petit Verdot, cab franc, merlot, Malbec, a dog, three creeks and some finger painting. — 11 years ago
I love this Riesling made by three Finger Lakes' winemakers. It has a nice balance of fruit and minerality with good FLX acidity. — 12 years ago
