Is there a better wine for roast chicken than Loire cabernet franc? Rhetorical question, of course. 2011 so tight, even after two hour decant. It slowly unveils its charms, like Jo Fiennes unwinds Gwen Paltrow in the otherwise forgettable "Shakespeare in Love". Unlike that film, this has staying power. An amazing Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. The bouquet was floral and earthy; beautifully pleasant on the nose. I'd fall in love with a woman wearing this as a perfume. Incredibly well balanced on the palate. Berries and cherries envelope and swaddle the tongue. Slightly tannic, but instantly drinkable. A long smooth finish follows each swallow.
