Firm grip not letting go until after a long lingering finish. Just when you thought you had wrestled yourself free you made the mistake of subconsciously taking that next sip and the struggle started all over again with that vibrant, concentrated dark extract of dark black berry and currants soaked in fine grained tannins and earth…ancient earth that is. Still very young as the layers unfold slowly and shyly but so promising. Check our YouTube video to

Ruby color with aromas of dark red fruits, forest floor notes and herb spice, barrel-aged 10 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with leather, pepper, tea and herb spice. Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with fruit, herb, spice and earthy character. Nice! — 3 days ago
Good enough for a second bottle. — 3 months ago

Best Kirkland wine I’ve had in quite awhile.
Not complex, but hey, it’s $18 !

Had in Newburyport at Brine - absolutely delicious. More like a zin but with the super bold edge taken off. Big, bold and would go great with lamb or steak — 13 days ago
A mature 23 yr old with a cedar and cigar box nose. Silky smooth mouthfeel with well integrated tannins and a lingering warm finish. Perfect with our Valentines Day prime rib and chocolate dessert. — 2 months ago

The oak seems more pronounced than the last I’ve tried one. Still one of the best chards from Australia that I’ve had. — 2 hours ago
