Can we give this a high five? It’s supple and also muscular like a power yogi who doesn’t need to end their sessions with an om. Ripe honey (probably not a thing but I feel it), and pickled golden delicious apple skins (also not a thing but whatevs) and goodness it is strong but smooth. It coats the mouth with a a slight kick. Fantastic, old school, rustic Carignan that went great with spicy tomato sauce. Sends a jolt of wild berry and tart cherry across the palate, tight and wound up like a drum. Very tense, quite tannic, this needs either time or lots of air, and food is a must. The finish and the overall impression lingers quite nicely. This bottle generated conversation around the table, got people's attention. This is exactly what is needed when it's needed. Tons of charm. — 3 years ago
