The Eyrie Vineyards, Pinot Gris, from the Dundee Hills of Oregon. Vintage 2017. ABV 12.5%.
Bright citrus and tart melon and cantaloupe notes with some salinity and wet stone influences. Very refreshing and youthful.
Easy to pair with food, we have paired it with roasted bok choy, aubergine, and brown jasmine rice. It goes nicely and doesn’t compete with the tamari and sesame flavors. — 5 years ago

Was between Gruner and Pinot Gris in a blind and got to Oregon Pinot Gris through some deductive help from the blind pourer.
Fruity and creamy, with a vegetal/herbal quality I only associate with those varieties. Muted aromatics led me to warm climate/New World. — 2 years ago

2019… another staple — 4 years ago
Petrol nose at first. Great complexity and evolution. Glossy, slightly gluey texture that coated the entire mouth, front to back. Acidic with sweet undertones. Pickle juice! — 5 years ago
Smoke-tainted 2020 vintage - rich wood aroma reminiscent of Napa cab, a hint of smoke though not unpleasant. After a while the smoke hits the back of the throat with a hot scratchiness. A shame for the grapes but an interesting experience. — 2 years ago
I loooove to look to Chartreuse for color references because it's a hell of a pretty shade. But its a prettier, maybe legendary taste and smell and this little humble library Muscat from Oregan has two copies of green ferry DNA.
Vegetal peppery herbs - arugula, sage, thyme, lemongrass, mint, marijuana, pine. Wild flowers and candied orange liquor. Perfumed green vibes with sweet undertones.
