BlackBerry, leather, bright acidity, full body and powerful. — 7 months ago
Pale golden yellow color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and herb spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple with slight citrus and honey notes and herb spice. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — 8 months ago
Daaaaaaang this is amazing! Pro ratings are too low. Tecce aromatics are so good. Flowers, iron, tar and macerated berries on the nose upon opening. Incredible balance of fruit and minerals with a metallic tone. Hint of licorice. I just opened it and it’s already so complex with little alcohol showing through. Lots of Mediterranean herbs, hay and grape stems on the finish, with a nicely tannic bitter final note. Super long, easing into dusty dried fruit. Absolutely excellent. So smooth and drinkable for a 15-percenter. — 9 months ago
Really good wine — 4 years ago
The 2022 vintage Fiano di Avellino from Ciropicariello starts with a rich straw-almost golden color to the eyes and unfolds in time on the nose with abundant floral notes and hints of honey. With a chance to breathe the palate evolves into a surprisingly mouth-coating viscosity that’s held together by its mineral driven heart. It’s a fuller-bodied example of the grape than what I’ve come across before and it earns it. — 4 months ago
This is a wine that fits perfect on a hot summer day sitting outside enjoying the weather. Incredibly crisp and fresh, with the perfect amount of acidity. Pale in color, with great minerality. Very very good and would drink again — 6 months ago
An interesting history of the Greco di Tufo grape which I won’t detail here (has its own DOCG) - a late ripening Campanian white grape. This wine had a luscious full bodied mid palate - apricots - with a refreshing acid cut. Next night a fruit salad of flavours including mandarin and guava. A great white wine as the weather cools down. — 7 months ago

Donnachiara Taurasi 2020
Taurasi DOCG, Campania, Italy 🇮🇹
Overview
Made from 100% Aglianico grapes, this Taurasi is a classic expression of Campania’s most noble red. Known as the “Barolo of the South,” it undergoes a 15-day maceration on the skins, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in French barriques (12 months), with another 24 months in bottle before release.
Aromas & Flavors
Intensely aromatic with blackberry, plum, cherry, cacao, and roasted coffee. On the palate: bone-dry, full-bodied, and warm, showing firm tannins, layered dark fruits, and an elegant structure with long persistence.
Mouthfeel
Structured and powerful, yet balanced. Rich tannins, dry finish, and remarkable depth that underline its long aging potential.
Winemaking Notes
Traditional hand-harvested Aglianico grapes, carefully vinified and matured. The barrique aging adds polish and subtle complexity while keeping the robust Taurasi soul intact.
Food Pairing
Perfect with hearty dishes: pasta with rich ragù, grilled steaks, game meats, and long-aged cheeses.
Verdict
A bold, structured, and age-worthy Taurasi with elegance and intensity. Built to age, but already showing its class in the glass. 🍷🔥
